“On January 16, the Prime Minister announced a new initiative for involving young Canadians in service to their communities. Canada Service Corps aims to inspire a new culture of service by providing young people with new opportunities, as well as the ability to gain valuable skills and essential life and work experiences. The program will be provided with $105 million up to March 2021. Funding is available for innovative ideas that engage young people and involve them directly in meaningful service opportunities. Local and regional organizations have until March 13, 2018 to apply for funding. Young Canadians can also apply for funding to help make service-related projects a reality.”
