Horse Council BC (HCBC) is a membership-driven not-for-profit association representing the interests of the equine industry in all sectors throughout British Columbia. Tradition, strong values and superior hard work provided by our volunteers has made Horse Council BC the largest and most successful multi-discipline, multi-breed equine association in Canada.
HCBC is accepting applications for the next great addition to our team to fill the following full-time two-year contract salaried position: Advisor, Membership Outreach and Engagement
This position is responsible for creating, soliciting and utilizing membership and stakeholder feedback to ensure HCBC drives value to our membership. This will contribute to effective and efficient programs and services that meet the evolving needs and expectations of our diverse and geographically large membership.
This role would appeal to someone that enjoys community development and outreach work. This role blends understanding community data and feedback and turns that into usable information that can be communicated to a larger audience for a strategic purpose. This role will have the ability to shape policy positions and program/service offerings within a large recreational, sport and agricultural industry setting. This role is a hybrid-role based in Aldergrove, but the organization would consider a fully remote option (within British Columbia) for the right candidate.
Applicants should have a minimum of:
- Completion of a university degree or advanced college diploma in a field related to business, agricultural sciences, communications, marketing or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years in outreach or marketing experience in a variety of delivery areas
- Minimum of 2 years experience in managing or coordinating projects
- Minimum of 2 years experience in providing strategic advice to management or leadership
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with access to private transportation.
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check and proof of vaccination against COVID-19.
