Help Us Help Those in Need

CTRA is requesting a few minutes of your time to complete a survey. This survey will help us understand more about how you shop for tack.

This information you provide will help us to develop our social enterprise – the Jane James Used Tack Shop.

As you may already be aware, the Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association (CTRA) created the Jane James Tack Shop in 2011. The Jane James Tack Shop is a social enterprise that retails used horse equipment (tack) and riding apparel in order to raise funds for our charitable program. The revenue generated by the store provides CTRA with the much-needed, independent revenue our program requires to keep our therapeutic riding and equine-based therapeutic services accessible for persons with special needs.

In 2016, the Jane James Tack Shop was selected as a winner at the seCatalyst awards – an island-wide “Dragon’s Den” style competition recognizing outstanding social enterprises. One of the prizes CTRA received was a partnership with the Camosun College School of Business Marketing Program. Through this collaboration, CTRA is working with a student-research team to gather information about the local used tack marketplace.

We request your brief participation in a completely voluntary and 100% confidential survey about your tack shopping preferences. The survey will take about 5-10 minutes of your time. Your input is invaluable to helping us better understand our customer base, improve communications with our audience, and grow this fundraising initiative for the benefit of our charity.
