Horse Council BC understands everyone is anxious to get back to business and restart our lives and have fun with our horses. As the province of BC begins to slowly ease restrictions on outdoor activities, it is critical that we continue to take serious precautions moving forward. A well thought out and coordinated timeline will be key to safe and effective return to activities. This collective effort will positively impact the continued lessening of restrictions and allow us all to return to some form of the “new normal” day-to-day activities.

The gradual loosening of restrictions in BC will be controlled and determined by the Provincial Health Ministry, under Minister of Health Adrian Dix, and Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry.  HCBC is working with viaSport and the provincial government for BC specific guidelines to support a return to equine activity/business, once reviewed, viaSport will submit these proposals for approval by the Provincial Health Office

We are working to have these out to you as soon as possible.

Let’s ensure that our equestrian community shows responsible leadership which is positively reflected in all areas as a community that adheres to government restrictions.

We are almost there, with creativity and vigilance we will find new ways to get back to the sport that we love, but breaking the rules will set us back.

Horse Council BC invites all Competition Organizers to join us May 20 at 2:00pm for a BC Horse Shows and COVID19 networking, Q & A session.

Sincerely,

The Team at HCBC Competitions.
