Election of Officers

In accordance with the organization’s by-laws, HCBC has elected Officer Positions each for a two-year term with terms commencing November 7, 2020. The election took place at the Board of Directors Meeting, November 7, 2020.

Election of Regional Directors

In accordance with the organization’s by-laws, HCBC has elected five Regional Directors each for a two-year term and the Peace River Regional Director for a one-year term to fill a vacancy.  The with terms for these Directors serving on the Board of Directors commence January 1, 2021.

We offer our congratulations to those elected or re-elected as Regional Directors of the organization:

Fraser Valley West Region, Lisa Mander, re-elected by acclamation

North West Region, vacant

Okanagan Similkameen Region, Myrna Thompson, re-elected by acclamation

Peace River Region, Rachel Vowles, elected by ballot by members of Peace River Region

Prince George Cariboo Region – Carolyn Dobbs, re-elected by acclamation

Vancouver Island South Region – Claire Vessey, elected by acclamation

West Kootenays Region – Elizabeth (Liz) Saunders, re-elected by acclamation

Election of Directors at Large

In accordance with the organization’s by-laws, HCBC has elected two Directors at Large each for a two-year term with terms for these Directors commencing January 1, 2021.

We offer our congratulations to both candidates re-elected as Directors at Large of the organization by HCBC members:

Rose Schroeder, re-elected by ballot

Horse Council BC is a member service organization that collaborates with business, industry and government on behalf of the equine and equestrian community to enhance the equine lifestyle in this Province.

Horse Council BC would like to thank everyone who participated in the process either volunteering for a position, encouraging a fellow member to run, nominating a worthy member, or voting for the candidate of your choice.  Horse council BC is proud to have members from a diverse group of equestrian interests sitting on our Board of Directors.  Together we are preparing to say farewell to 2020 and are looking forward to a safe, healthy and productive 2021.
