Ottawa, ON, Dec. 23, 2020 – Equestrian Canada (EC) is pleased to announce that the 2021 EC Rules are now available online at www.equestrian.ca/programs-services/rules.

For the 2021 Rules, the EC Technical Department and National Rules Committee (NRC) adopted an adapted rule amendment process due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Changes to the EC Rules for 2021 were made through a condensed process similar to that of the Extraordinary Rule Amendment Process. As part of the adapted process, Rule Change Proposals (RCP) were limited to only those deemed essential.

The EC Board has approved the final 2021 EC Rules, which are now available online in a clean digital version, as well as a version with changes from 2020 visible. Hardcopy rule books will not be printed in 2021.

Please Note: The 2021 EC Rules were originally posted to the EC website on Nov. 17, 2020. An Extraordinary Rule Amendment has since been applied to Section G: Hunter, Jumper, Equitation and Hack, Annex 1 4.8, G211, G109. Please reference www.equestrian.ca/programs-services/rules for the updated version.

All changes are effective Jan. 1, 2021.
