Pasture Management

Horses evolved to forage for their food, eating small meals throughout the day while moving freely to find the grasses and plants they require.  Allowing horse’s access to pasture is one of the best ways to keep horses physically and mentally healthy.

A well managed pasture provides necessary exercise and may reduce feed bills.  There are key management practices that will ensure your horse gets the best grazing pasture options.  Healthy pastures do take some planning and work but the reward of potentially reduced costs and a happy horse makes the effort worthwhile.
